Privacy Policy
This policy explains how AdvancePDF collects, processes, and protects data across our browser-first PDF tool suite, cookie consent controls, and advertising services including Google AdSense.
1. Who We Are & Policy Scope
AdvancePDF ("we", "us", "our") provides browser-first PDF tools at advancepdf.com. This policy applies to all tools and features across our suite, including compression, merging, splitting, editing, rotation, cropping, watermarking, password protection, unlocking, Office and HTML conversion, image export, PDF-to-Word conversion, and related document workflows.
2. File Processing & Data Minimization
We prioritize document privacy across all workflows:
- Uploaded Files: We process files strictly to execute your requested document operation (e.g., convert, compress, merge, split, or edit).
- Immediate Deletion: Files processed through server endpoints are deleted immediately after completion of the requested task. Client-side tools execute directly in your browser without uploading content.
- No File Data Retention: We do not store, index, scan, or retain the content of your documents for training models or analytics.
- Usage Logs: Server logs store minimal non-content operational diagnostics (such as timestamp, status code, and tool name) solely for security and rate-limiting.
3. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising Disclosures
AdvancePDF displays ads provided by Google AdSense and third-party advertising networks to keep our core PDF utilities free for everyone. In compliance with Google AdSense Policies, we disclose the following:
- Third-Party Vendor Cookies: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies, device identifiers, and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to AdvancePDF or other websites on the Internet.
- Advertising Cookie Usage: Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partner ad networks to serve ads to users based on their visit to AdvancePDF and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Personalized Advertising: Ads shown on AdvancePDF may be personalized based on your browsing history, demographics, or context where permitted by law and your cookie consent selection.
- Third-Party Ad Networks & Partners: Third-party vendors and ad networks may serve advertisements, record impressions, limit ad frequency, detect ad fraud, and measure campaign performance on our website.
