AdvancePDF ("we", "us", "our") provides browser-based PDF utilities and document workflow tools at advancepdf.com. Our tools cover PDF compression, merging, splitting, editing, rotation, cropping, watermarking, password protection, unlocking, Office and HTML conversion, image export, PDF-to-Word conversion, form filling, and related utilities.

We continuously refine our services. We reserve the right to update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature, tool, processing limit, or portion of the service at any time without prior notice.

2. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use AdvancePDF only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:

• Upload, process, or transmit any document or content that is illegal, infringing, fraudulent, defamatory, or harmful.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our infrastructure, bypass rate limits, or interfere with security controls.
• Deploy automated bots, scrapers, or scripts that disrupt, overload, or impair service operation or ad delivery.
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to derive source code from server APIs or proprietary backend services.

3. File Ownership & Privacy-First Handling

Your Intellectual Property: You retain 100% full ownership, rights, and copyright to all files and documents you upload or process through AdvancePDF. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content.

Data Processing & Purging: Files uploaded for server-side processing are handled in memory and deleted immediately after task execution is complete. 5. Disclaimer of Warranties

AdvancePDF is provided strictly on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. Without limiting the foregoing, we explicitly disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or error-free operation.

While we strive for high conversion fidelity and reliable optimization, we do not guarantee that file processing, OCR, compression, or format conversions will meet specific file size targets or be completely error-free.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AdvancePDF, its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, lost profits, or operational interruptions resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without giving effect to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
